Follow below along with video to get started mining with your CPU using SMOS.

– Log into simplemining.net
– Hover over miner name to find local ip
– Download Putty https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html
– Connect to miner ip
– Login with **user**: miner **pass**: miner
– Run Following Commands

## Install Miner

sudo apt-get –assume-yes update
sudo apt-get –assume-yes install libmicrohttpd-dev libssl-dev cmake build-essential libhwloc-dev screen git nano
sudo apt-get install cmake
cd /usr/local/src/
sudo git clone https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak-cpu.git
cd xmr-stak-cpu
sudo cmake .
sudo make install
cd bin/
chmod +x xmr-stak-cpu

## Edit Config

“cpu_threads_conf” :
{ “low_power_mode” : false, “no_prefetch” : true, “affine_to_cpu” : 0 },
{ “low_power_mode” : false, “no_prefetch” : true, “affine_to_cpu” : 1 },
“pool_address” : “sumopool.sonofatech.com:3333”,
“wallet_address” : “YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS”,
“pool_password” : “x”,

## Add XMR As A Start-Up Service

nano /lib/systemd/system/xmr.service
ExecStart=/usr/local/src/xmr-stak-cpu/bin/xmr-stak-cpu -c /usr/local/src/xmr-stak-cpu/bin/config.txt
sudo systemctl daemon-reload
sudo systemctl enable xmr.service

## Control Service

sudo systemctl start xmr.service
sudo systemctl stop xmr.service
sudo systemctl restart xmr.service
